Did not work for my application on a very over gassed carbine with an m16 bcg and low profile rail. This product would be better used on a competition gun running a low mass bolt carrier group, light buffer and light spring. Also beware that like many others, this block doesn’t fit well under slim aluminum forends/rails. It did clear mine by fractions of an inch, but when the rail flexed even slightly it touched it.
