Most Helpful Negative Review Do not buy this stock!
Installed on Big Horn Armory 500 Automax and this stock broke in less than 50 rds. I contacted doublestar through email a few days ago and have yet to get a reply. I can not recommend this stock to anyone needing a durable part.

Worlds strongest carbine stock

This thing oozed quality right out the packaging. You can never go wrong with DoubleStar and OpticsPlanet. The stock is definitely stout enough to beat down a door.... or enemy if you run out of ammo. Again excellent product.
Pros:
  • super well built
Cons:
  • A little noisy
Best Used for:
  • Beating off enemies when out of ammo

Exceedingly well built stock

I bought this for a recent AR build. It is perhaps the nicest stock I have used to date. I highly recommend. The only downside is that it is sometimes very difficult to source as everyone seems to be sold out. I tried various sources to no avail, then I remembered that Opticsplanet carried stocks. I was fortunate that they had one in stock. I would definitely recommend the purchase of the HMR for your next build, or as a replacement for an existing stock.

ace hammer stock

It is indeed heavy duty in its design but I was very much looking forward to a rattle free stock. It fails on this count as it rattles almost as much as the stock it replaced which cost over 200 dollars less.

  • Rattles, moves a bit
