Make a great pistol an Awesome pistol
I installed this in my FNX45 tactical with a suppressor and Deltapoint pro. I load .45 super for this pistol and this guiderod spring assembly is the ticket to 50 yard hits on feral pigs with this combination. Well worth the price of admission.
Misleading product photo and description - NOT for the FNX!
Beware, this is NOT for the FNX series, the product photo they have is incorrect. Between the wrong product photo indicating FNX, and the title saying "Tactical 5.3in Barrel" it's easy to mistake that this is for the FNX Tactical. It is not.
This has been confirmed directly with DPM.
The product itself isn't bad, but just beware this is not the version to use on the FNX or FNX Tactical. The correct unit for the FNX is: MPN: MS-FNH-6

Soft shooting
Swapped out the recoil spring and had no issues. Super easy to swap out and has two springs for fine tuning

Cons:
- non

Undecided for now
Seemed to slightly affect accuracy with heavy spring. May have something to do with lock time. I.E. my fault. Barely noticeable difference in recoil, but i bought my fnx used, so i dont know if it's all original or not. Lighter spring seems about the same, but i have to assume it works slightly better with heavier loads because it doesn't seem to cycle lighter stuff as well. Will be testing with heavier stuff and provide updates after more thorough testing.

Works Great.
Bough this because another reviewer said he runs 45 Super with his suppressor.
Its crazy how it tames the gun down running regular loads or even +P or 45 Super.
I've looked into the 460 Rowland conversion. I really like the round. But I don't like the idea of cutting the barrel chamber and extra 1/16 of an inch. Supers are a great in between. No reliability sacrifice. I would suggest polishing the breach face. As running 45 Supers increases the slide rate Dramatically. Brass is pitched probably another 10-15 feet when running supers. I did have a couple of fail to feeds where the bullet didn't make it into the breach face properly and canted forward. Even Rowland conversions require the breach face be polished. Still doing some testing but shoots much smoother. I run the heavier spring. With a suppressor I haven't had any trouble with short stroking. Have not shot without the suppressor.
Racking the slide the spring weight compounds and gets pretty intense at the end of slide travel. The only thing I wish someone made was a shock buffer for the slide as extra insurance. I'm going to run 45 Supers for a bit before I start playing with 460 Rowland charges oi

Smooth operator
This helps to slow slide velocity when running fast stepping +P ammo and running a suppressor. The recoil impulse is reduced to a push instead of the usual snap. This product is easy to install and does not alter the original pistol.
Pros:
- No mods required
Cons:
- Would like optional spring weights
Best Used for:
- Any auto pistol
