I bought the Soft Mechanical Recoil System because I am running a compensator
I installed a Faxxon barrel and compensator on my RXM. I was having a lot of failure to feeds and returning to battery. I tried a new guide rod with lighter recoil springs but I was still having issues. I contacted DPM Systems and they recommended the RXM Soft recoil system. It completely fixed my issues. I needed the 2 stage system to get the slide to achieve battery. I’m glad I purchased it.

Solid upgrade for not big $$. Does great for dialing in accuracy, recoil management, & being able to remain efficient & sufficient in firing schedules.

Works well
I purchased this and the captured recoil reduction system for two different G17s. This one is harder to use, but provides the ability to tune your recoil with the additional springs. Definitely recommend.
Pros:
- Multiple springs to choose from for fine tuning
Cons:
- Harder to change out than a captured recoil spring
Best Used for:
- Fine tuning recoil reduction
