Honest review - DPM Springfield Armory Hellcat 3in/Threaded 3.8in Barrel Telescopic Recoil System

Let’s start by saying that I feel this product works better in other platforms such as the sig p320. I have tried it. For the hellcat it’s a marginal improvement. It DOES take some of the hardness out of the snap this pistol has. I tried all of the springs. I settled on the middle weight spring. I didn’t notice any difference to the lightest spring. HOWEVER... the gun would not lock back with the stiffest spring! This was NOT due to recoil but due to physically not allowing slide to lock back by HAND using the slide lock. Does the product improve felt recoil? I’d say yes but not worth the price. It was 100% functional with weak and strong ammo. Keep in mind that you’ll lose the stand-off feature the stock recoil spring provides if that means something to you. Hope this helps!
