NOT A VERY GOOD CLEANING MAT
The mat has a relatively hard surface, not rubbery to keep parts from moving around and not very thick, it does the job but there are better cleaning pads out there for the same money. It is better than a towel and keeps solvents from going though.

Item works as advertised. Material repels liquids​ and padded enough to protect your firearms. The mat comes with a metal magnetic bowl that you can put small parts into when cleaning your firearms​. Must have when cleaning your firearms.
