Sturdy and functional - E-Lander Mags AR-15 .450 Bushmaster 7 Round Rifle Magazine

Like my spouse... sturdy and functional. Full metal with rivets on the edges, screen printied E-Lander Mags with logo and .450 Bushmaster - wish it was a bit brighter, but it's still legible. I was surprised that the follower is plastic and very much looks like a 556 follower - dark gray. So when you load the 450 ammo, it kinda staggers them in a very slight zigzag pattern. Oh and the description is wrong - it actually holds eight (8) rounds, comfortably. With eight in it, there's a 1/4" inch give when you push with your thumb, and nice bounceback. 450 Bushmaster is a "straight wall"... kinda. It tapers at the end ever so slightly, so haveing a "kinda" banana mag makes sence in the feeding sequence. The follower is NOT tilt proof and it will tilt forward, deep, as the spring is pushy on the back. But the follower never got snagged - it always bounces right back. Pushing the eight rounds out with my thumb to clear the mag is effortless - got caught up on the very last round a bit, but that could be because the spring isn't broken in just yet. The bottom plate is tentioned by the spring but held in the a rather large detent, whcih is easy to push in with the time of the bullet so the plate can be removed. The front lip of the magazine is straight - some people use a dremel to file it in a crescent moon (half circle) so the ammo can "leave" the magazine better. I find that's completely unnecessary here, because the design of this mag pushes the top cartridge high, high enough in fact that the entire bullet looks like an M142 HIMARS ready to launch. So no issues there.

Overall, I'd say this seems like a very solid buy.
