Eagle Optics Ranger 10x42 Roof Prism Binoculars

I use the binos for bird work, and they are crisp and clear; very bright. Easy to see color bands. Eagle optics are a great value and good choice for field study.
Pros: Great value for the money.

Poor choice

I own a pair of 8x42 Eagle Optics Ranger binoculars that I purchased in 2005 and REALLY like. I ordered the new version of the Ranger in 10x42 expecting the same high quality. NOT WHAT I GOT. The focus wheel is very stiff and the binoculars feel awkward in the hand. I was very disappointed to say the least. The new version of this binocular is made in China...go figure
Cons: Very stiff focus wheel, awkward in hand
