This is the only pack for what I am looking for. Unexpectedly I will be able to use it for more than originally intended.
Pros:
- nice fit
- Adjustable fit
- Multiple options of use.
- I would have liked molle options in the fr
Cons:
- I would have liked more molle options on the upper front.

Simply fantastic! This is the last backpack you’ll ever need! It’s so versatile with bat wings, zip-on dry bag, or Vapor pack. I set mine up with bat wings and rifle scabbard. Hauled out a buck easier than ever!
Cons:
- A bit expensive - but worth it

So, I've had the F1 for 3 years now and I'm in love with it. I have the batwings for day hunts and the drybag and Little Bigtop for multi day hunts. As a stand alone freighter frame, this thing is a beast. It is a little heavy once you start adding on extra bags, but you can slim it down some once you know what you do and don't need. I would highly recommend upgrading the hip belt to a bigger size. I've helped to pack 7 elk with this frame and had no problems.
Pros:
- Durability
- cost
- Versatility
Best Used for:
- packing anything worth packing

Very stout frame with straps in the right places. Perfect for hauling camp or hauling meat. With all of the options of bags to add on to this I think this is the most versatile pack system that is available.

Thank you Santa! This is a great day pack that might need to be turned into a meat hauler. I love the modular options. It can go from day pack to multi-day pack in a jiffy, and rugged enough for Alaska

Frame fits me well. I'm just shy of 5' 10" and I am able to get a fair amount of shoulder lift with this frame adjusted to the smallest position. It is comfortable to carry for longer distances, and I didn't feel like I ever needed to readjust the straps or redistribute weight along the way. The pack frame is quite narrow and one reason why I chose it being a female with narrow shoulders and build. I would buy it again.

This is a very nice , quiet , comfortable pack frame ! I've got the transformer ordered also to team up with it and can't wait to use them both together ! The only thing I would add to this pack frame is the pouches on the belt, which you can order separately which I have coming also . Can't wait to load this baby up with a big bull !

The F1 is a good frame pack. Well built. Needs a longer lashing strap on the bottom of the frame pack to lash a sleeping bag to the shelf. Slim and reasonably light weight. The Transformer pack that attaches to the F1 Frame is a bit heavy for its use. Eberlestock should consider either reducing the Transformer's weight or adding another smaller lighter weight pack similar to the Transformer to it pack line.

I like the FI. Good frame pack compared to others on the market. However, I have yet to find the perfect reasonably priced external frame pack. This one is close but does lack a few features that would move it closer to the perfect pack. Namely, it would be nice if there were a few places on the frame exposed so that you could lash 1-2 items directly to it while one of the modular packs are on it. Also, if you want to lash a sleeping bag to the bottom, you will need to modify the existing lash straps as the originals are too short. If Eberlestock would offer a lighter and smaller pack than the Transformer to attach to this frame, the system would be excellent.
