I'm impressed by the robust support cushioning along the back/shoulder/hips and the build quality for the zippers, handles etc. Something like 50% of the webbing straps come with those velcro management things to roll-n-hold them from dangling -but the other 50% of the straps don't have that, and that sucks, but can easily be DIY fixed.
Having only owned this pack for a month on a couple campouts, my only legitimate concern is that the exposed side pockets (for water bottles /etc) are partially made from some thin stretch material that I suspect will be the first to break through normal use. Oh and this pack has torso adjustment which is great!
Best Used for:
- Bug out bag
- camping
- Rucking

Nice bag, caught it on sale and had over 40$ in bonus bucks when purchased so I got it, haven’t used it yet but looks like a good purchase, I would say it’s too big for edc but I got it for prs competition and should hold all the ammo, mags and water bottles I need for a full day of shooting. This is my first eberlestock bag but probably not my last, would have been nice to get a couple accessories for the molle for the price point but oh well

Years ago I heard of this company after eyeballing some of my associates' packs and accessories. Upon researching some or their products, I was thrown aback by the price. After going through several common packs and perpetually agonizing over their faults in design, materials and workmanship, I sprung for the FAC pack. Upon opening the package, I was instantly confronted with a product of such superior quality, that I was embarrassed by my choices of packs in the past. I thought of the countless uncomfortable to miserable hours spent using common packs of lower prices. The unending frustration of all the shortcomings of their design, materials, workmanship and functionality.
The quality of DESIGN!, MATERIALS!, WORKMANSHIP! and FUNCTION! of this Eberlestock FAC pack is unlike anything I have seen in a pack since the early 80's. Nowadays, too many companies simply toss allot of compartments and Molle webbing onto a hastily designed pack and call it good. Everybody wants a tactical looking pack, but virtually none are up to the actual task of use and abuse. Not so with Eberlestock. This FAC pack is designed to be lived in and become a part of your body, not like some alien creature clinging to your back and perpetually torturing you.
I was very pleased how the internal frame system held a load and put the weight directly onto my hips. Even after several miles, it does not sag, lose shape, or settle onto my shoulders. Gone is the need to perpetually readjust the pack for comfor...

A few years ago I got an Eberlstock Dragonfly backpack. I put it in Storage and did not use it. This year a friend of mine was going hunting and needed a pack so I offered him mine to use. It was in nearly new condition. After the trip he showed me that the webbing could be pulled apart with your fingers. I called and emailed Eberlstock about having the webbing fixed. After several emails this was our final conversation
They said that the pack was old and they no longer manufactured that style. So they would not repair it.
This is a copy of my reply to their email
I am rather disappointed in your reply. Your warranty states.
We offer a Simple Lifetime Warranty. If an Eberlestock product fails under normal use due to a defect in materials or workmanship, we will either repair or replace it. The lifetime of a product is determined by considering factors such as time since purchase, conditions of use, and maintenance.
The time since purchase should have nothing to do with the condition of the product.
The pack itself is in excellent condition.
The failure of the webbing is a defect in the materials.
To use the excuse that you no longer manufacture that pack as a reason to not repair it or replace it does not reflect very well on your honoring your "Simple Lifetime Warranty" or Your Company.

Awesome pack. So well made, great price and prompt delivery. The selection was good and the shopping experience was easy and smooth. The pack weighs more than I thought it would feel, but the quality is clearly the reason - built for an apocalypse! This is my new travel luggage and it is perfect for carry-on. Holds enough for a weekend with ease.

The Eberlestock F3 Fac Track was my 1st Eberlestock purchase. I've never though I'd spend no more than 60 to 80 on a pack but I had a chance to snag this at half the cost due to color close out and by far even at regular price I'd purchase it after my experience with it.
It's volume is just right for a 3 day assault into the wilderness/camping/backpacking is the application that the pack is used for most of the time. All the compartments give you organization, to the room inside the main opening with the provided internal molle help you pack simple, smart and organized depending on your build.
Pros:
- built quality
- Volume It Carries
Cons:
- Weight (wish it was lighter & in 500d)
Best Used for:
- User's Field, Camping, Backpacking

Thus far, the pack has been used to transport gear and clothing for military trips, not for any real arduous work. For a three day pack, the size is perfect. I fit in clothes for three days (three shirts and pants, socks, Skivvies, etc.) PT gear to include shoes, combat boots, hygiene kit, and in the radio pouch I stashed my laptop computer. The outer pouches were large enough to fit all the extras I might need, with room to spare. I had to purchase the larger pack straps so the bag would fit my frame, but it is comfortable to wear for a 15Km walk, with the above load and a couple 100oz bladders. Only negatives I have regarding the pack are caused by me, not issues which one may incur if using the pack for it's intended use. The pack when stuffed as described above almost didn't fit inside the overhead bin of an airplane, but after some readjusting I crammed it in, but had I had any delicate gear in the outside pouches it may have gotten broken. Going through TSA, getting the top open to remove the laptop, wasn't a problem, putting it back was a difficult process because of the various splits inside the radio pouch area which caused it to snag. Again, I'm using it for more trivial uses than it's intent, but it works and works well.
Pros:
- Dual access to main compartment
- Optional size harness for different sized bodies
- Rain cover built in
- Size/volume
- Stability and weight distribution
