Blake's Review of Eberlestock Gunslinger II Pack

Eberlestock bags are the jam. I truly consider these heirloom quality equipment. The 1000D material, zippers, and clasps are all stout, much more than the myriad of other bags I've had. After watching a old Eberlestock video on setting up the bag to fit you well, the pack is extremely comfortable under load. My 14" AR10 build fits well without the lower scabbard extended with the butt of the weapon extending approximately 6"to 8" out of the top. When our PTR Vent one arrives I plan to extend the lower scabbard section and expect similar exposure from the butt of the weapon at the top. The butt cover at the top of the scabbard is extremely well built and I've folded it over to reduce all of the extra material that exists for longer firearms. I can't seem to figure a way to get the scabbard cover to cleanly go all around the open end of the scabbard in order to prevent debris/light rain from entering the scabbard, but I'm sure there is a way. It would be nice to have some sort or instruction to help configure the four clasp/strap scenario in a clean fashion, but I'll keep messing with it until it figure it out. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the bag and would highly recommend the brand. Just pick the bag to fit your mission needs and squeeze the trigger.
