Most Helpful Positive Review Great pack!
This pack is amazing. It'll adjust to exactly fit you and your load. I bought it for a Saskatchewan black bear hunt. It will easily carry two scoped hunting rifles; and on one occasion I had three scoped hunting rifles stuffed in there (I carried gear, the others dragged the bear out). On other occasions I've used the section that is designed for rifles to carry extra gear, but that is not needed too much since the normal gear carry capacity expands to allow you to carry a *lot* of stuff! I've carried a lot of packs, backpacks too, and I've never had a pack that carries so well and fits so nic...

Perfect pack, kinda small at 40L but still very usable and the ability to carry a extra weapon or not have it slug over you while hunting is awesome. One the best bags on the market.

Heirloom bags

by Blake, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on February 11, 2025
Eberlestock bags are the jam. I truly consider these heirloom quality equipment. The 1000D material, zippers, and clasps are all stout, much more than the myriad of other bags I've had. After watching a old Eberlestock video on setting up the bag to fit you well, the pack is extremely comfortable under load. My 14" AR10 build fits well without the lower scabbard extended with the butt of the weapon extending approximately 6"to 8" out of the top. When our PTR Vent one arrives I plan to extend the lower scabbard section and expect similar exposure from the butt of the weapon at the top. The butt cover at the top of the scabbard is extremely well built and I've folded it over to reduce all of the extra material that exists for longer firearms. I can't seem to figure a way to get the scabbard cover to cleanly go all around the open end of the scabbard in order to prevent debris/light rain from entering the scabbard, but I'm sure there is a way. It would be nice to have some sort or instruction to help configure the four clasp/strap scenario in a clean fashion, but I'll keep messing with it until it figure it out. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the bag and would highly recommend the brand. Just pick the bag to fit your mission needs and squeeze the trigger.
Pros:
  • Build quality, comfort
Cons:

Very nice pack!!

by Chad, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on January 22, 2025
This Gunslinger will house pretty much any size rifle or shotgun! It comes with a cover to protect your rifle from the elements. The lower portion of the scabbard will extend out to accommodate longer rifles. The main pcompartment can either be accessed by the top or from of the pack. It is made with high quality zippers and material! There is plenty of molle webbing on the sides to mount pouches or bigger tripods. There are two outside straps to store a tent, mat or sleeping bag. The Gunslinger comer with lots of storage compartments! Very comfotable with a built in frame. This was an awesome buy with Optics Planet!!

Awesome craftsmanship, but has a smaller room inside the bag than I imagined. Not sure how this is a 3 day bag... I still love it as it has many places to shove your stuffs inside. You also can't beat the Opticplanets price!

heavy duty light weight pack, room for everything you should need on a 3 day outing or a day at the range. great for keeping gear properly stored, internal pouches for isolating items, with the option to add bags externally. You can carry a full size scoped rifle, a 2nd rifle or shotgun, ammo and more. my only addition might be a eberlestock side scabbard. A great pack with many applications
Pros:
  • rugged and light
Cons:
  • NONE found

The best pack money can buy!

by Bill the butcher, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on March 19, 2018
I did a fair amount of research before purchasing this pack mostly because of the price point. After I pulled the trigger and went for it I couldn't be more pleased with it. It is a good size for any job and my ar-15 pistol fits in the scabbered with a full magazine and red dot optic. The materials used are high quality and rugged. The customization features are second to none and when fully loaded the pack rides nicely when adjusted to fit the user. Overall highly recommended!
Pros:
  • Everything
Cons:
  • nothing
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • Tactical ops
