One tough pack.
Thought I was ordering the pack with the Alice frame but came with the Eberlestock light frame. To my surprise I really like it, I usually prefer external frames. Attachment points are all in the right places and the side sleeves are handy. 10x12 tarp on one side and poncho and Woobie on the other. This is my first open front loading pack and it is a great feature with super tough zippers. I have retired my Blackhawk SOF pack now, it is a monster but served me well. The Jackhammer is now my GHB and BOB and I'm so impressed I ordered the Dragonfly for hunting.
I have used this pack on two overnight outings now and cant wait till spring for some weekenders with my son and daughter.

Pros:
- Ample main compartment space, side sleeves are a great addition, zip open compartment for CC or short shotgun and rifle carry. Exceeds expectations.
Cons:
- For my purpose none.
Best Used for:
- Camping, survival, GHB, BOB, hiking.

Eberlestock Jackhammer Backpack
Well designed of quality material and durable. Able to carry a good size load and is comfortable to carry over long distances. A big improvement over the packs I used while serving with the Marines. I highly recommend this pack made by Eberlestock.
