Happy Hunter

by Dale, from NY, United States Written on June 10, 2018
This gun holder ia exactly what I needed for my next International Hunt, the quality far exceeds what I ever expected. I have seen others but this one is much more rugged and easier to install to my pack.

Great pack accesory

by Ben, from IA, United States Written on March 18, 2018
I weaved the scabbard onto my X2 Pack with the help of an Eberlestock YouTube video. It was easy to install and my scoped Henry Big Boy 44 Mag rides great in it. The gun is also easy to remove incase I had an unexpected shot opportunity on the way to or from blind/stand. Im looking forward to hands free hiking. Great accessory, buy one!

Exactly what I needed

by ChadO, from WI, United States Written on October 15, 2014
I use this scabbard for carrying my shotgun (I carry a 28" barrel shotgun) to remote duck hunting areas as well as for carrying a scoped carbine .44 Mag for deer hunting, etc. It would not be right for either long-barrelled shotguns or scoped rifles with pistol grips. I believe an unscoped rifle with pistol grips would fit.

I attached the scabbard to my MOLLE assault pack. Provided the top MOLLE loop of the scabbard is attached as high on the pack as you can get it, and the clip at the top of the scabbard is engaged, this is an extremely stable way to carry a firearm. If you want quicker access, leave the top clip of the scabbard undone, and, while it's a little floppy, it's easy to draw it, provided you don't have brush right over your head.

rifle scabbard

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on February 22, 2013
Very rugged construction...will last for years....would have liked more padding, bu t that would add to weight....I might put my scoped .30-06 in a gun sock, and then put it in the scabbard.....I'm not after a
quick grab and shoot...I just want to get to the high, remote part of the mountain to begin the hunt
Pros: adds extra dimension to existing pack
Cons: thinner material than I anticipated
