RIA upgrade
installed easily. Original RIA barrel was accurate enough but the bore never looked clean. This was a drop in using pistols original bushing. No accuracy lose or malfunction. Now with this barrel when it is clean it shines.

The barrel is a great improvement over original 1911 barrels but you'll be very lucky if the bushing is the correct fit. Ed Brown barrel is top quality...
This new Ed Brown 1911 barrel is as good as it gets...only needed some mild fitting effort. It fits great...looks great and performs great. Other well known brands that go for more money are't as good or take more effort to fit.

One very good pistol barrel.
This Ed Brown barrel is beautiful. While it didn't just drop right in, I had to file the lug area to fit my slide. This was done in about 30 minutes with the right size pillar file. The result is worth the price and effort. This barrel tightened up the battery lock and was a major improvement over the stock Colt barrel of My Commander. It cycles and feeds much better. Accuracy is better than I can hold the pistol. I am amazed at the difference.

ED BROWN DROP IN MATCH BARREL
ED Brown barrel as advertised, well packaged and quick delivery. The barrel dropped in with minimal adjustments of filing and sanding at the barrel lug area (to be expected). Approx 45 minutes of work and fitting. Instructions that came with the barrel helped and guided me to a perfect snug barrel fit/lock up. The barrel had 2 shavings inside so I cleaned the barrel and headed off to the range. At the local range I fired 150 rounds of Winchester 230 grain round nose white box thru the new barrel. Barrel is a 45ACP 5 inch. At 10 yards I shot just under a 2 1/2 inch grouping. At 20 yards I shot a 3 inch grouping. After shooting I cleaned the barrel and it looked brand new, no incidents inside of the barrel. Cleaned up pretty good. Very happy with the drop in match barrel.

Ed brown barrel greatly improve target accuracy.
Installed Ed brown drop in match barrel on a Kimber target II- Group size at 25 yards 1 3/4 inch reduced from 3.0 inch. Must see online Ed brown instructing very important to review prior to installing barrel - will require some minor fitting - Barrel is very high quality and precisely machined- very impressed with upgrade on target accuracy.
