Lack of helicoils caused my screws to permanently damage this item
I attempted to mount a Holosun 509T RMR adapter plate to this item. However, the screws couldn't get enough purchase on the fine threading and stripped the soft aluminum. Also,machining marks make me question whether the anodization was sufficient to properly harden said threads
Good stuff but pricey
I do really like it. I have them on both Elcans: 1.5-6x (.308) and 1-4x (5.56). I like them for two reasons: faster target acquisition since there’s no eye relief and easier when using with NODs. That said, the Elcan is perfectly fine on its own, so it’s definitely not a necessity, but I like it.

Theoretically okay, serious problems with mine
After waiting a month to get this supplied, my mount was damaged in just 30min when I attempted to thread in a C&H 509T RMR adapter. The supplied screws were too short and promptly stripped and ruined the aluminum threads with just the recommended 15 in lb. The aluminum is really soft, and the threads just didn't have enough leverage. Longer screws might have worked, but I followed the manual with trusted parts and was very disappointed. Out a bit of money and dissatisfied
