I bought this for my SCAR 17 and I couldn't be happier with it. The view is very clear, the brightness levels for the red dot are all great, and it can take a beating. Some red dots on optics have messed with my eyes but this one does not. It was easy to sight in and hasn't lost its zero after a year and many range trips. If you get a SCAR 17, you might as well pay for this optic if you're going to pay for that rifle. It looks great paired with the gun, works perfectly, and will probably outlive humanity.

Love this scope on my scar clean and clear, 1.4x6 at a flip is nice. Looks cool too! You can’t go wrong with a top shelf scope. Buy once and be happy..you won’t be disappointed that’s for sure! Quick pick up first shot engagement, Love the Doral six power 300 m engagement is a breeze with the scar 308

I purchased this optic for a Scar 17S. After doing my research and discovering the SCAR 17 was an optics punisher I decided to up my budget and buy once cry once. After ordering the optic I discovered a few videos pointing out some serious potential flaws in the external adjustment system mount. At one point I was so paranoid by these sophomoric reviews that I was convinced I was going to return the unit . I am very happy I didn't return the unit! One of the main erroneous criticisms of the optic is that there is a noticeable reticle shift when zooming out of 1.5x to 6x in the midst of the lever travel, the flawed argument is that if debris got caught in the lever mechanism it could alter zero in the high magnification setting. This is completely false, the optic engages the 6x stop well before the lever throw is completed regardless of external debris impingement. The glass in this thing is crystal clear, I can see targets much more clearly with this than compared to a budget 10X optic . This is a unique optic in a line up of boring redundant field of variable power optics!

This is a great scope except for one problem. Mine is adjusted laterally (windage) all the way to the right and it still shoots left (Daniel Defense 5). I don't think it is me as another good shooter has the same experience. For a product this pricey that is unacceptable. If I could send it back I would.
Pros:
- secure mount
- Built like a tank
- easily adjustable
- Great optics - reticle and red dot - the best
Cons:
- Heavy
- eye relief must be precise
- shoots to the left at full right adjustment
Best Used for:
- ANYTHING up to 500-600 yds as long as you aim to the right

My girlfriend bought me this optic this past Christmas and let me say, I am more than impressed. The clarity on glass is incredible, the illumination looks fantastic and the overall fit and finish makes this thing a tank. Coming from EoTech, Aimpoint and Trijicon optics, I love my SpecterDR. I currently have this mounted on my DD Mk18.

Great optic easy to adjust pricey but worth it if you have a scar 17 or a rifle that can damage optics or you just need to have a reliable optic this is it even if batteries go out your still in the fight BDC works good but for some people that arent used to magnified optics you might need to practice i have astigmatism and have no problems with this optic as ive had before with others with practice using this optic shooting 100-600 yards is a breeze. If the price is holding you back stick to iron sights until you save enough money to get the elcan its worth it in my opinion
Pros:
- great glass
- Built like a tank
- Etched reticle visible even if battery fails.
- Etched glass reticle gives a sharp aiming point even with a stigma
- Illuminated reticle or red dot fully adjustable
- Comes with kill flash and flip up covers
Best Used for:
- Battle rifle
- Go to war rifle

It’s like what i expected a great product for a great price. I installed it on my scar 17 it’s one of the best optics for it due to the recoil causing to break cheaper optics but not this thing it’s built like a tank. It was the cheapest price i found online and fast shipping. Came with the kill flash attachment and the batteries. It’s 1.5-6x magnification the glass it crystal clear and the red dot is sharp. The cross hair illuminates with a turn of a switch. The Elcan specter dr is also nvg capable for all the hardcore gear heads. The weight is a little on the heavy side but nothing a operator or a gear head can’t handle. If you complain about it then i advise you to sign up to a gym ASAP. Anyways zeroing the optic is simple it’s only o.5 moa adjustment per click at 100 yards with 6x magnification. The BDC reticle is set for a 20inch barrel but this is not a precision rifle you can hit your target easy out 600 yards. Really easy to install with their quick mount set up. Battery supposedly last a really long time and you really don’t need a battery to use thing during daylight since the cross hairs and bdc is itched to the glass. If i can only buy one optic for a life or death situation look no further on the Elcan.
Pros:
- clear glass
- reliable
- Heavy Duty
Best Used for:
- Scar 17 or any 308 battle rifle.
