Most Helpful Positive Review AAHSLS-2: Elite Survival Systems Ankle Holster w/Calf Strap
This ankle holster Is so comfortable that I can forget I've got it on. That padding behind the holster is just right. My last ankle holster had a calf strap, but it wasn't adjustable, so the barrel of my Ruger LCR would end up poking out of my pants leg. I can take this one up so it's just right. Pros: very comfortable Cons: absolutely NONE

Ankle Holster

by Struckfire, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on November 12, 2016
Very comfortable. Remains secure with loaded Colt 38 Special. I'm pleased I did not purchase the calf strap; I'm sure it works too and perhaps better, but this version of the holster works perfectly for me. Not noticeable unless I'm wearing shorts. :-)
Pros:
  • comfortable & easy adjustment

  • None

The best concealed carry holster!

by Jason, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on October 26, 2016
First thing to understand is that this is STRICTLY a concealed carry holster. It is NOT a speed holster. Seems pretty obvious, but some have complained about the speed of drawing. However, when driving, this is actually a faster draw than a waist holster. At least for me. When you first put it on, it does feel a little odd. Walk around for about 10 minutes and you'll forget you even have it on! Trust me on this.

The entire system is velcro held securely with a second elastic strap. If the gun or straps done sit right for you, leave the strap on your leg and you can pull the entire system apart and position it the way you want.

Ankle holster

by Randy, from AR, United States Written on May 24, 2016
This ankle holster is better than I expected. The velcro makes adjustments easy and virtually unlimited. I can wear it on either leg with a little adjustment even though mine is a left-leg holster. Pistol fits snugly and holster is comfortable. I can wear it all day.

Ankle holster review

by FireWalker, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on May 13, 2016
Mainly I use this ankle holster with dress pants. Otherwise the butt of my weapon prints. I carry a Sig P239 SAS .357. I should get a more compact one for ankle carry. The holster holds my weapon snug and secure, but the way the leg wrap circles just the leg and not the weapon does allow it to "wiggle" somewhat. This may be due to the weight of the Sig. I do like the upper leg strap add on. It helps to keep the holster higher and not let the lower part show below the pant leg. The leg wrap does have some cushioning material on the inside against the leg.

A pretty good ankle holster

by Tom Palmer, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on April 11, 2016
I originally ordered this holster mistakenly thinking that there was an upper strap that would fit around the calf or just below the knee, that would prevent the holster from sliding down to your ankle. My mistake was not reading carefully enough! I am still happy with the holster and some of it's features. The strap across the holster helps keep my PT111 secure, with no movement. I also like the fact that the same strap provides a place to carry extra magazines if desired. I also own a Galco ankle holster, which is slightly more comfortable to wear on a daily basis, but which comes a a significantly higher price. If I didn't already have the Galco holster, I would be very satisfied with the Elite Survival ankle holster. Overall, a good holster at a reasonable price.

Ankle holster

Very comfortable. Hardly know you are wearing it. I have to wear boot cut jeans as my pistol has a large grip. Velcro adjustment on holster and calf strap makes it easy to adjust and stays put while walking.

  • comfortable,

Amazingly Comfortable

by Dean, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on March 4, 2015
My daily carry is a .380 Sig Sauer which is all stainless and weighs a lot for a small pistol. I tried carrying in my pockets but it was too heavy for light weight slacks. My first ankle holster was not padded and did not have the calf strap. I was routinely having to slide it back into place or have my ankle get beat up. I purchased this Elite Survival Systems Ankle Holster and go all day without having to do a thing. It's so comfortable, I forget I am wearing it. The calf strap does a great job of holding it in place. The padding smooths out the bumps in the pistol so they don't bite into my leg. The whole package is small enough that it's not noticeable even wearing boot cut jeans. I would highly recommend this.
Pros:
  • Comfortable and stays in place

  • None
