Elite Survival Systems adaptable plate carrier

I had been looking for a minimal molle plate carrier, for awhile . I came across this one at optics planet .its made in the USA and less then $ 100 . I plan on using the carrier for more of survival type vest so plates are not a concern as of now . It doesn’t come with molle panel on the back . So I ordered from E.S.S direct great people to deal with . I had my extra molle pannel in less than a week. Now it’s just what I’m looking for . At some point I plan on getting some light weight plastic/polymer level 3 plates to add to it . Even then most of the time the carrier will be used as a just a chest rig / vest . Also I always get great service from Optics Planet .
Pros:
  • Light weight, able to wear under a coat , once the molle is removed.
Cons:
  • None as of yet only time can tell
Best Used for:
  • Light weight, compact

Does not fit 10”x12” plates

I ordered this carrier specially because of what the description said it would hold. Well, it doesn’t. Do not get this if you have 10”wide plates. Other than that it seems pretty well made. I have pro’s about it since I have no use for it.

  • 10x12 plates do not fit

  • Nothing at this time.

Nice light American made carrier.

Great carrier. Wouldn’t ever deal with optics planet again, good luck getting an email or voicemail returned or getting through to someone on the 800 number. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. Back to the carrier, it’s minamal and has a room for a couple mag holders, and small attachments. Elite also sells extra panels if you wanted to change your load out quickly.

  • Limited protection
Best Used for:
  • Warm climates, low risk scenario
