A CC holster for runners and hikers.

by Boneman, from SC, United States Written on June 2, 2020
Traditional CC options simply don't work with light workout shorts which are mandatory for working out in warm weather. There is nothing to support the weight of even a small pistol and even keys will print. Speaking of keys, phones, and wallets it's pretty common for runners to use a (wow, they won't let me use the typical name for this) pack to keep those things from getting thrown from a pocket or funky if they stay in. Water bottle holders are often also built-in for convenient hydration and stashing a pistol is a natural evolution. What sets this gun pack apart is that it is made with both running and CCing in mind. You have your hydration, a front pocket for a phone/ID (with earphone portal), and then back pocket with an adjustable holster that will keep your firearm secure. I've run with a heavy all steel compact pistol and it kept it secure to my waist. An aluminum or polymer framed gun will only be steadier. Your gun is right there and no one who is not familiar with this particular gun pack could guess that you are carrying. My only criticism is that it would be nice to have some additional slit zippered pockets to the outside of the water bottles for keys and small effects. But those things fare better in shorts pockets and give me no grief.
Pros:
  • Excellent concealment
  • Made for Running
  • Water Bottles
  • Earphone portal
Cons:
  • Limited room after pistol and phone
Best Used for:
  • Summer concealed carry
  • Running and hiking
