Thomas's Review of Elite Survival Systems Smokescreen Concealment Backpack

I have search many web sites and viewed many different packs before choosing this one. I was looking for a average sized pack for daily use and day hikes. This bag comes with the velcro holster and is ambidextrous with access to the CCW compartment on both sides of the pack. I have a Sig P320 Compact with the Romeo1 sight that fits just fine. Switching the sling is simple for LT or RT shoulder. The front zip compartment has a key clip and multiple pockets. I put my wallet, protein bars, pens, small notebook, headphones, sunglass case and knife in there. The main compartment has a small mess zipper pouch at the top that is perfect for a tactical light and anything small you don't want to end up at the bottom out of reach. I put the AR500 Level IIIA 11"x15" armor in the main compartment and it fits great. It's the same width and is almost the same height, just a few inches short which gives you access to the upper zipper pouch. There is still room for my laptop and file folder when I go to work. When we are hiking our water bottles fit in there fine with the armor along with a light pullover jacket. At the base of the sling is a zipper pouch the is perfect for an extra magazine. I haven't used all the velcro tabs on the sling yet, they would work great for something you needed to use often and the web pouch at the bottom is too small for a cell phone. Would be good for a credit card and ID wallet for quick access I would think.
Pros:
  • convenient size
  • snaps to secure CCW pocket
  • back padding
Cons:
  • None

  • Daily use
