I use it for work, great light output, but it's pretty hard on batteries.

this does not compare to our battleaxe standard, pelican heads up 2680 lights. not up to snuff. only marginal even on 'boost', which is intermittent (button held down).

Not for hardhats
These are great lights for hunters, etc. I bought on for construction, to wear on my hardhat. The headband(s) expanded plenty, but the cord was too short to center the battery pack on the rear of my hardhat. Usually there's some coiled slack in the cord, along the head band for large adjustment, but not with this one. It was useless to me, so I gave it to my daughter, She's an avid hunter.

Good For Sneaking Past Deer
Although the LED won't shrink to a spot, This lite is awsome. The red light is very strong, to avoid sticks and find your way through woods & swamps. The white LED will lite up the front of a house like the best & most expensive police lite- me having been in Law Enf. for 10 years. I conducted the tests tonite on my 5 wooded acres. Definitely a good lite to sneak to your deer stand undetected at 4:30 AM.

The Real Deal!
We needed some headlights for an Amazon jungle trip, and headlights were suggested by the lodge. Looking around, there are plenty of marginal lights out there. Then there is this one. Wow! The best of bright Cree LED in an easy to use form, with not just one, but two easy to use battery packs, each filled from easy to acquire batteries. Ease of use, and quality are superb. I'm ordering another 3 right away!
