Very good product - EOTech 517 A65 Holographic Weapon Sight (HWS) Buttons On Left Side w/ Raised 7mm Base (517.A65/1) for M4 & M16

Installed on Windham 5.56 AR. Used to have a Nikon 3-9 P223 BDC scope on it but tried this instead. Shooting at running coyotes with a scope doesn't work well for me. And safety-wise, if i'm tracking something on the run I want a wide field of view so I don't accidentally sweep across something I don't want a bullet headed towards. Scopes with magnification don't give you that. The Eotech 517 is the answer for me. With both eyes open and focused on the target there is none of the narrowing of field of vision that comes from looking through a tube. Rapid target aquisition, unlimited eye relief,rock solid optic, worth the money. Love the reticle. Pick up the target in the circle, then pin point the shot with the red dot, pull the Geiselle trigger, game over. My only complaint is it will fog up when exposed to significant temperature changes. Temporary, but annoying. Haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life. I don't see that as a concern. They are AA's, big deal. If you can afford this optic, you can afford a few batteries.
