One08dragon's Review of ERGO AR-15 Original SuperGrip Grip
Out of all the aftermarket handgrips, for ARs, on the market, Ergo's ErgoGrip is simply the best. I've been putting these grips on both, purchased rifles, and new builds, since I first found them, in the early 2000s. Even purchased them for use on my FAL builds. The only thing that even comes close was the, now discontinued, Pachmyre Magnum revolver grip, adapted for use on the AR. I recently had a package delivered, where the grip was missing the bottom end cap. The distributor couldn't replace the cap, because they didn't stock them seperately. I contacted Ergo directly. They had a replacement cap/plug in the mail, the next day.
Pros:
- Ergo grips ARE the most ergonomic grip available
- There are reviews saying they had modify the grip to get it to fit. In my 20 years of using these, I've never once had to do that.
- The shape of the grip, makes the weapon very difficult to twist sideways in your hand. Not an issue, unless you somehow lose grip of the front end of the weapon, had to shoot single handed
- The texturing Ergo has used, has only improved, over the years.
- These things are pretty much impervious to gun cleaning solvents, and such.
Cons:
- There is note included with the new grips, saying that the plug space is not for storage. It would be nice, if Ergo designed that space FOR storage.
Best Used for:
- ANY AR, or FAL (if they haven't discontinued that model in their line)
