This is my second site plate from EGW. Since it was going on an Infinity Pistol I took the install job to my Smith, a day and $40 later the Bomar was in the box and the sturdy plate was on the gun. Infinity are expensive so I didn't want to scratch it up. The plate fit the Holosun pin holes snug and the screw holes are perfectly aligned. My other EGW site plate has had no issues on another gun for the first 5000 rounds. While milling the slide is a option, I find the plate in this case was a better choice, milling the Slide on an Infinity would probably reduce its value substantually.
Pros:
- Fit and finish
- Preserves slot for Original Sight
- Quick and easy (site pusher recommended)
- No refinishing of slide
Cons:
- Mount is slightly higher than when milled
Best Used for:
- Mounting a Red Dot
