Highest quality ferro rod striker I've found
Closed, this piece is small, even the XL works nicely as a key fob or on the end of a lanyard. The ferro rod is replaceable, which is a nice feature. The striker is the sharpest I've seen, with an H-shaped cross section, and it is able to be re-sharpened. This throws one heck of a hot spark. Be careful! Even the box is quality- closes with a magnet! Nice piece of gear.

Great Craftmanship
I was very eager to purchase purchase this product and try it out for myself after reading several positive reviews on the manufactures website. Once again, OpticsPlanets superb price match made it the ideal place to place my order. Okay, so back to the product in question. The striker is definitely machined with quality oversight. The rod strike produces a superb spark, bright enough to lit up a dark room, literally. Perfect tool to have on a lanyard (packaged), in a bug out bag, or on a key ring. Small enough, but built to produce a large spark. Definitely would recommend this product.
