Rail portion is 1.5" long. Total length is 2.5" long; should be 2". May not fit device because inside tube length is so long. Spring locking is extremely strong, will never come off unless you choose to remove from rail. Pros: Good value Cons: Longer than necessary

FAB Defense 1” flashlight mount

As it is intended to hold a flash light that can be installed or removed without tools it does that. The construction is solid and the retention spring is strong but not too stiff.I believe it will hold up well and appears to be stout. I purchased this in order to mount my IR illuminator to the side of my rifle.

Super easy to use, 1 screw to hold the light secure and quick release to put unit on/take off your picatinny rail.

mako quick detatch flashlight holder

Part was a great color match to existing tan parts i have. Also the quick detactch is very useful and sturdy. Much lighter than most comparible metal flashlight holder.

Great Tactical light mount

The only things I didn't like about this was the color is a bit too light in my opinion, but then again its desert tan not dark earth. The other part that was a bit of a bummer was that the quick detach mount really only works on a mil spec rail. For instance it fits nice and tight on my AR15's mil spec yhm quad rail but it won't fit tapco or utg rails. It's loose and rattles around when you move. So if you're working with a mil spec AR then this is a great mount. Otherwise get something more adjustable.
Pros: quick detach, flexible on what size light it can take and seems quite durable
Cons: needs a mil spec rail to fit properly. Won't fit the cheap tapco rails
