Most Helpful Positive Review Completes the firearm
I bought my 43 with every intention of getting these as I certainly wanted 10 rounds instead of 6. They were fairly easy to install, give my 43 a full hand grip, and no jams/malfunctions after the 1st 200+ rounds. Completes the firearm in my opinion. A must try if you're a glock 43 owner.

Great Product

by Bulldog68, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on May 12, 2024
Okay, first and foremost the extensions are great. They give an extra inch or so of grip and the added rounds make a great CCW even better. They function as advertised and feed flawlessly. The downside is they are a PITA to put on. The spring mechanism could be encased to prevent them from flying apart.
I gotta give them a 4 out of five.
Pros:
  • Well made and great function
Cons:
  • PITA to install
Best Used for:
  • Concealed Carry

+3, not +4 out of the box with 02 mags.

by Real human being, from GA, United States Written on August 15, 2023
This product still advertises +4 capacity even though the only mags you'll find for the 43 today are the 02 version. 01s haven't been on any shelves I've seen for a while. In order to get the +4 capacity with the 02 you'll need either an 01 spring or a high-power aftermarket spring. I was able to get a long +15% power spring and cut out the plastic indent on the bottom so the spring sits against the bottom of the extension. You can find other extensions that don't have this issue since they supply their own springs, but this one does not. Despite the capacity issues, it's a very good conceal carry extension and does not snag or hurt when carrying in the front. It does look kind of stupid, but if we're being fair so does the stock 43 mag.

FAB Defense 43-10 not a +4

by Glock43-10, from GA, United States Written on November 6, 2021
So many of you may not know that glock recently released many glock 43 kits with the 33388-02 6 rnd. magazines. These 2nd generation mags are not the same dimensions as the previous 01 mags. Just like the Pearce grip 43+1 that does not add +1 The FAB Defense +4 only adds +3 Not worth the effort to return this product for a refund, but it would be nice if Optics Planet knew what they we’re selling and warn the consumer. Glad I only bought one and not 10 +3 extension. FYI: Pearce Grip has made the correction with their 43+1 for 02 mags, just let them know when you order the 43+1 that you have gen 02 mags.

Excellent purchase

by Eddy, from VA, United States Written on July 15, 2021
I have it on one of my mags that I use when shooting the 43 inside of my MCK and I absolutely love the extra grip the extra capacity and the ease of installing. I have literally put 350-400 rds using the Fab extension without one single malfunction. I’m definitely getting another when back in stock.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Grip
  • Installation
  • capacity
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Extra grip and capacity

+3 not +4 like it says

by Trey, Verified Owner from AR, United States Written on February 9, 2021
The mag extension was easy to install, but there’s no way it could fit 4 extra rounds. I had to force the 9th round in. I tried to make the 10th (+4) go in, but it wasn’t happening. It started to bend the metal inside the mag. I didn’t want to keep trying and mess something up.

Well, + 3 for sure

by Mike, from CO, United States Written on October 25, 2020
Trying to put 10 rds in my G43 wasn't happening; maybe when the main spring loosens up. For now it's a +3. Wasn't to hard to put on but without the Glockstore base plate removal tool to take off the factory base plate, I never would have got the mag base plate off!
Pros:
  • +3
Cons:
  • didn't make +4
Best Used for:
  • Better grip and capacity

FAB +4, it works

by Fish, from MI, United States Written on August 18, 2020
The stock mag is fine for CC. But, I wanted a 10rd mag for keeping in the bedroom. I drop tested it in the weapon and alone, fully loaded (unchamberad). It is solid and feeds well. Remember to clean and lightly lube your mags

Consistent fail to feed

by Jeff, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on June 7, 2020
I wanted to expand the capacity of my G43, so I thought these were a good option. They installed easy enough to my factory mags, but they look Frankensteinish. Not that looks make the gun, but these are WAY to long and very fugly. Also, good luck getting all 4 extra rounds in. You can probably cram the fourth one in, but to what harm of the mag extension. I didn't want to find out. Then on to the range. Well, these mag extensions had consistent fail to feed issues on the last round. I don't shoot junk ammo, Federal Premium HST, but more times than not, the last round would not feed. These are now in my ammo locker waiting for a new home. Maybe I'll use them to practice my stippling, that's about all they're good for. Look elswhere if you plan to use these for self defense.
Pros:
  • Extend the capacity.
Cons:
  • Fail to feed.
Best Used for:
  • Stipling practice.

p-43 mag extension

by dean, from OR, United States Written on February 2, 2020
Overall great extension. Grip is perfect.
I would have easily given a 5th star however, the 10th round is a bit difficult to insert. I would suspect after a few times of reloading the mag it will eventually fail from the amount of force needed to
Place the 10th round.
Pros:
  • reasonable cost
Cons:
  • 10th round difficult
