No Frills Precision Stock
If you don't need length of pull adjustments, this is a great stock.
Cheek riser adjustments allow you to use a variety of mount heights. Easy to adjust and very stable once set.
Integrated monopod is a nice feature that has gross and fine adjustments.
Very comfortable stock for benchrest shooting.
I wish the stock had some provision for a sling attachment.

A good stock for the price
I installed this butt stock on a Plum Crazy Polymer lower and a Mark's Armory 24" spiral fluted barreled upper. I used a one inch stock extender because at 6'5" NOTHING has the reach I need.
This stock is elegant and useful in a brutal kind of way. it has every feature I want in a sniper stock. The drop-down rear monopod is an OUTSTANDING feature, and if you're looking at a "sniper" stock that doesn't have this, pass on it. One word on the adjustible cheek piece. Fab defense hits a home run
After 1 range day with my fab defense ssr-25 I'm totally satisfied with the purchase, little skeptical at first with the mixed reviews I've read, but the monopod is flawless, easily adjustable, and length of pull is just right for how I like to shoot! I haven't shot with a prs gen3 yet but can't wait to try both side by side! Fab defense for the win!

Cost Effective
This is a light weight buttstock with a built in mono pod and cheek riser. It’s designed to fit on a rifle length buffer. There is no length of pull adjustment so transitioning between bench and prone shooting requires a scope with generous eye relief. I’ve used it up to 308. Beyond that caliber it may not provide adequate recoil management. The material is high grade fiber reinforced polymer.

Best Sniper Stock for the AR format, by Every Measure!
I've tried this side-by-side with a Magpul PRS on one AR and this on another.
THERE IS NO COMPARISON! The SSR-25 is far superior!
This SSR-25 is lighter and sturdier, especially given the monopod option!
I read a previous review that says an AR doesn't need a cheekrest. Really? Everyone is built the same and mounts their sight picture in exactly the same way?
I need a cheek rest because my Weaver 40/44 6-18x44mm has a 59mm outer objective diameter! That 1/2" rise lets me comfortably rest while - with one finger - I dial the monopod adjustment to put my target perfectly into the center of my crosshairs.
I thought it would be a gimmick, but it's a little bonus that I can't live without now that I've used it.
Fab Defense/Mako always makes quality AR parts, but they can be pricey! But this stock sells for $50 less than the PRS!
The PRS is a good stock, but it's not in the same class with the SSR-25! Do not buy the Magpul without checking this one out, first!
Someone asked about sling attachments. The last cut-out in the SSR-25's vent hole is exactly the right size for the standard sling!
Someone else said they didn't care about looks. Well, I care a lot! And this stock is beautiful!

Everything you need in one package
This stock is light, sturdy, ergonomically perfect for prone or bench shooting,the check rest is adjustable in seconds, the built in monopod is quick and has a massive amount of adjustable height. The length of pull is not adjustable but it is long so perfect for bigger guys and my petite wife has not issue using it also.
