Way better than stock parts. Its large empty area around the barrel will almost certainly prevent any melting. Along with all the ventilation ports it seems most unlikely. Mine arrived with real rails not the ones in the picture. Which is good because it allows for greater adjustability in mounting accessories. A lil tight fitting but that's a good thing. No modification was needed. All in all I am very pleasantly surprised at how good it fits. And the fact that it looks good is just a bonus. Highly Recommended.
