Used the riser for a chassis bolt gun with med/high rings worked good for me. - FAB Defense GCCP Cheek Riser for GL-Core Buttstock

put the riser on my GL-impact on a chassis bolt rifle. it allowed me to run Med/high rings and gave me a comfortable cheek weld. If you need a little height to get a better cheek weld to a scope I would recommend picking one up. Buy it separate from the Core-Buttstock save $$$. Buying together is almost twice the price.
