Most Helpful Positive Review Good But Issues
Once installed, the function of the FAB folding pistol grip is excellent. However, getting it installed is the problem. First there are no instructions and no hardware. You'll have to go get a 1/4" x 28 x 1" CAP screw to mount . Only a CAP screw will work, as the that is what the attachment base ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Good but has issues
So it works great but has some problems. One it needs some sanding to be able to fit with the LAW folder. Not a problem and easy to do. Two is that you can’t use Magpul grip screws. Only the standard type works. Also difficult to screw jn

cool grip, no screw

by Jon, Verified Owner from MN, United States Written on May 19, 2025
The grip is the only game in town for what it does. It doesn’t come with a grip screw though and requires the OG style of grip with the thin head.

think best for compact

by ArcherBow, Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on May 18, 2025
It’s a good polymer grip that folds, good if wanting really compact build. One small Con is the metal button that’s extended out is a little uncomfortable to the fingers when your grip lands on it. Also mine didn’t come with the bolt to screw it in.

Good grip, comfortable. Slight movement, but that's expected with a two piece grip. Great for compact storage in truck.

Very Comfortable

by Todd Cundiff, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on February 16, 2025
This is a great grip. I have an average size hand and this grip fits perfectly. I feel i have better control and connection to the unit. The folding is a good way to save a few inches when packing in a case.

The only folding pistol grip I could find

by Ivan, Verified Owner from MN, United States Written on February 15, 2025
My quick access safe is said to house up to five ARs. Well, that's if there is no optics on them; even with a red dot, it's an inch too tight for the door to close securely.

That's where this folding pistol grip comes in so handy, it just gives me much needed space. Helps to fit two rifles in a case for a single rifle, too, or use lower profile case. 10 rd magazine sticks out about as far as this handle folded.

To fold the handle, one needs to push an oversize slotted screw on the left side (not shown in the picture); it's stiff, I can only do it with my thumb if I twist my wrist the right way to help it; sometimes I put my other thumb over to help pushing it; I am not particularly strong-handed, yet there are plenty people out there with yet weaker hands or with arthritis, who may have trouble operating that button. It only locks in the unfolded position, so unfolding it is easy, and that's what matters in an emergency. The rifle can be fired with the grip folded, too, though holding it that way is a bit awkward.

There is a storage compartment for batteries and what not; I need to use a small flat screwdriver to push the catch open; a penny or dime should work, too.

I ended up buying one of these handles for each AR I have, plus one more for a VZ-58, using and adapter. (AK adapters are also plentiful.)

Some people dislike finger groves as they don't fit every person's hand. These work fine for me with my L-sized hands.

Would rather get an analog made domestically, but ...

These are great grips for those needing to reduced storage height for their AR rifles

by Sportsman, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on February 2, 2025
I bought my first one of these a couple years ago for an AR10 to get it to fit into a standard scoped rifle case, which is how I have been storing it since then. It is also a great ergonomic grip for an AR Rifle. I recently bought 2 more of these for the same purpose, to store 2 more ARs in regular rifle cases. My first one when unfolded had a little gap where it opens so I put a little bit of foam tape to fill in the gap. It had been very solid since then. The new ones lock up very tightly when unfolded and have no wiggle or movement when unfolded.

To install, you will need to get a 1/4-28 x 1 inch cap head screw. These can be purchased at any decent hardware store for under $1 each.
Pros:
  • Makes AR rifles easier to store
Cons:
  • A little heavier than a standard AR pistol grip
Best Used for:
  • Storing AR rifles in traditional scoper rifle soft cases
