Good But Issues
Once installed, the function of the FAB folding pistol grip is excellent. However, getting it installed is the problem. First there are no instructions and no hardware. You'll have to go get a 1/4" x 28 x 1" CAP screw to mount . Only a CAP screw will work, as the that is what the attachment base ...

Good but has issues
So it works great but has some problems. One it needs some sanding to be able to fit with the LAW folder. Not a problem and easy to do. Two is that you can’t use Magpul grip screws. Only the standard type works. Also difficult to screw jn
Missing hardware, no instructions
The grip is cool, but is missing the hardware. No instructions, but if you can install a standard pistol grip on an AR then you can do it on this one too, but first you have to get a Cap Screw-type AR pistol grip screw. Luckily I had a few in my AR spare parts bin. Now mine wouldn't fit on my particular weapon because I had a QD buffer tube end plate with the "ears" on both sides to clip on the single point slings, or the HK-type sling swivels. The "Beavertail" that extends just wouldn't let me seat the grip all the way down. No worries, as soon I will be changing everything out on the rear end anyway, as I will be adding a QD stock removal plate/assy. (one of those Stern Defense "rapid attach" buttstock adapters.) This weapon is an SBR that I Form-1'd a few years back and decided to put on the Pantheon Arms Promethius QD barrel adapter and installed that tonight with my 10.5" barrel w/A-2 FSB that was originally on it when it was still a pistol before the Tax Stamp got approved. Anyway, this is going to be a lightweight, simple, "K.I.S.S." - type of gun, The Eotech and heavy RRA A-2 fixed BUIS mount that was on it previously came off, and on goes a light, cheap Magpul MBUIS rear sight (for now). When the folding pistol grip finally gets installed (later) this will be a small, light, and handy SBR that I can also quickly attach a can on as well thanks to my YHM Phantom QD flash suppressor. And can be broken down into 3 small parts and put into something very small and be put ...

Foldable Grip
I lobe this grip on all my short barrel and folding builds. It just really helps make the footprint smaller and fit into bags more easily. Only reason I gave it a 4 is because i own multiple and some require a lot of oiling their breakdown pin to be usable without needing to hit the button with a tool to get it to fold. It also has a very small amount of movement when pulling back on it hard. If they update it with a better, stronger locking system for being in use. Then it would be a 5 star and the best grip I've ever used. They are extremely comfortable and ergonomic too.

I own 4 of these
These are well built, solid construction, no wobble. They allow you to make an AR style firearm much easier to store and put in cases. My only critique would be the release button can be abrasive on your hand if you’re out of position. Just man up for a while, build some calluses and you’ll be fine.
Best Used for:
- AR component platforms

pistol grip
The economics are good, the texture is good, however, after the grip is locked in the extended position, there’s too much movement forward and backward.
Too much movement, making it harder for an accurate shot.
Too much movement, making it harder for an accurate shot.
Pros:
- Grip texture
- color
- Ergonomics
Cons:
- too much movement in the handle after locked position

Cool Design
Bought this to build my replica GAU-5A Air Force rifle. Quality is great, folds nice, very easy to manipulate. Would recommend this for a replica build or just something to want to stow in a bag or trunk.

Pros:

Cons:

Generally cheap and not worth it
It feels great in the hand unless youre left handed then the folding stud is grinding a hole in your palm. They get you for a screw which is unacceptable for something that costs 3x as much as a regular grip. And the amount of slop in this thing after its folded out is unacceptable
Pros:
- Texture, compactness
Cons:
- Stud, missing parts, slop
Would recommend: No
