It's small but I like it. Perfect for 556 cal and under. Compact for short barrel builds and feels nice in the shoulder.

it’s a better buttstock

No rattle, solid material and great rubber pad. The rubber is nonslip and shaped well. The quick disconnect for the sling is solid metal lined.

Good stock

This is my 3rd gl core s stock and the first two were decent. A little upset that in 2025 we still have qd sockets that aren’t anti-rotational but nbd. This one though was super rough. The plastic had flash in so many areas it looked like it was unfinished. Easy enough to get off but still frustrating. I really love the size and ergo’s of these stocks that it outweighs that negative. But let’s get it together Fab Defense!

Better than the rest.

This stock is my first from this brand. Have used from two other very popular manufacturers and find this to be better in form and functionality. No rattles whatsoever. Fit and feel are also top notch. Nice to also have something different than others where Fab Defense may not be as much of a household name.

Nice stock

It is definitely smaller than the standard GL Core, but not so small to be useless. Very solidly made. The ability to swap adapters so it will fit on commercial or MIL-spec buffer tubes/ adapter is very handy. This will allow it to run on anything with an AR type buffer tube. I have run various FAB products and they are all well thought out and very durable.

Nice And Light

I bought this for my 10/22 that I built with the Midwest industries chasis. I’ve always liked fab defense products because of the quality they put in to their products. They don’t look like cheap plastic because they are more of a polymer. This stock is nice and compact and does not rattle when installed. I will use this on my next SBR build and recommend it.

FAB Defense GL-CORE Stock

I like it because it fits tight to the buffer tube. There is no wobble or shake and it doesn't make any noise. Rubber pad ensures it does not slip off my shoulder at all. I put it on all my ARs and SBRs so they would all work the same way.

Odd Buttstock

This is not a bad butt stock, it's just the way it's designed where the rest of the buttstock curves underneath. It has a nice rubberized texture at the end and it's nice that the rubberized wraps around if you had a bipod to set it down on. Nevertheless, it's still too small of a surface to put up against your shoulder in a standing position. It is also very loose on two different milspec buffer tubes with a lot of room to play. It comes with two slides I guess to apply more pressure to the tube but neither worked.

Great for bipod shooting

Cons:

Not enough surface are on the buttstock
