Universal fit and reduces felt recoil. - FAB Defense GLSHOCKCP Recoil-Reducing M4/M16 Buttstock

I purchased this butt stock for my AR-10 to replace the original garden variety 6 position AR carbine stock with Limbsaver recoil pad. I had added the Limbsaver pad to the original stock to tame the recoil, however I still got a jolt to my jaw each time I fired the AR-10. I had also found that I could not get a very good cheek weld with the original stock. The FAB Defense GLSHOCKCP stock does as good job of taming recoil as the Limbsaver pad and I don't get a jolt to my jaw with it. I set the adjustable check rest only a bit high and found that it helps with cheek weld, however as the manufacturer advises it does interfere with pulling the charging handle back all the way unless it is in one of the rear positions. The GLSHOCKCP fits very well on the MILSPEC extension tube and slides easily so retracting it to use the charging handle is not a problem, however there is a bit of side to side play with the MILSPEC tube. I also tried the GLSHOCKCP on a commercial extension tube I have and found that it will also fit that one, however the fit is vert tight and sliding the stock to different positions is a chore. This after market adjustable stock does what it claims and I highly recommend it.
