decent, but too much play
Put it on a 500 ATI due to wanting mlok. Got it on easy enough, but the amount of play is absolutely wild. Feels good in the hand otherwise especially with a wedge. Gonna try it out but might just end up drilling holes in the fat ATI grip for my wedge and putting it back on. Also, make sure you attach anything first like the other comment says.

mav88 with heat shield
I got this to replace the awful OEM forend and I couldn't be happier with the fitment. To put it on a mav88 you need a 500 slide tube assembly and nut. It goes on without any interference with the heat shield. Low profile. My only complaint is that it's not super grippy. But that can be fixed with some grip tape.

Nice swap for the factory "corn cob" forearm
This forearm looks nice and works well. It seats as securely as the factory synthetic forearm. The MLok slots are a nice addition that allows you to add accessories on three sides. During the installation, I did have to do some minor Dremel work to get the retension ring to engage the threads to lock it into place. Beyond that, the installation was simple and straightforward.

Great Forearm perfect fit can leave heat shield on gun fast install
Not sure what these reviews mean it was hard to install I did not have that problem it is a nice snug fit on a mossberg 590 took all of 45 min to install the hardest part was removing the forearm nut great forearm I installed a streamlight pressure switch on the m-lok using 1913 Picatinny rail perfect fit DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE MOSSBERG HEAT SHIELD

I wont fit on Mossberg 500
When I put this thing on my Mossberg 500 pump shotgun, It will slide in a little tight, I finally get it in but the big problem now is the forend tube nut wont go in because the front of this FAB Defense is too tight and the nut wont go in. I regret buying it.

DOES NOT fit the short action tube Mossberg 500
Really like the look and feel of this product seems very well made. I thought I would be able to make this work with the shiort action tube with the hogue adaptor, but that is not the case. It is not a matter of length but diameter. Thought I could modify with a dremel but there are ridges that run the full length inside of the forend so it would be a bit of a pain and tight fit to dremel it to fit. Kept seeing conflicting reviews about whether it will or won’t fit so hope this review helps others not make the same mistake as myself. If I had the long action tube I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this.

Needs Better Stippling, But Made It Work
Installed this in my 590 Shockwave (18.5" heavy walled barrel).Wanted a forend with a more aggressive texture than the Magpul forend. Unfortunately, the stippling is shallower than I had hoped. Its just good enough with dry hands, but somewhat slippery with sweaty hands. However, this FAB forend does allow you to mount Magpul Type 2 rail covers along the top M-Lok slots (not possible on Magpul forend). Adding the rail covers gave this forend a much better grip. The install required a good deal of elbow grease. It fits SNUG, as did the rail covers. It's not coming off easily. I'm satisfied with the overall quality and prefer this shape to the Magpul forend (I have large hands). Will run this combination moving forward.

Good forend the mlok are in the right spots for lights not too big to grip doesn't slip out of your hand nor scratch up your hand

Mossberg 590s Shockwave.
Buyer beware this forearm will not fit the Mossberg 590s shockwave without some additional modifications or an extended magazine cap! You will have to cut about two inches of the FAB forearm and shave down the grooves inside the forearm about an inch to get your Swivel nut on. It was truly a pain and didn’t come with any instructions. I ended up making the modified adjustments but in the process scratched my magazine tube and now I’m stuck with it. I don’t recommend this forearm for the shockwave unfortunately.
