First Faxon
This is my first Faxon barrel and I am not disappointed with the look of this and can't wait to get it to the range. Shipping was fast and customer service is awesome. Don't hesitate to get this barrel if you are thinking about it.
Great Value
This .458 SOCOM barrel is everything you could want or need in an incredibly lightweight and affordable package. Shoots straight as a die and cycles various bullet shapes well. I wasn’t paying attention when I first assembled it all and put in a rifle length +15% spring in on top of a Griffin S.O.B. and it stripped the first round so aggressively it jammed the shoulder of the case between the two lugs either side of the feed ramp. A standard carbine spring solved that. I only mention this because that kind of jam could maybe occur again if you were running over gassed bad with a heavy buffer so just get an adjustable gas block. This round is so expensive to shoot a fancy gas block becomes small change quick. Probably going to pick up another one of these as a spare just because I like it so much and it’s such a good deal.
