Faxon pencil
Extremely light compared to average ar barrels. Very well made. Welded muzzle break is the same diameter as the barrel so you can change your gas block and hand guard, and still completely disassemble your upper.
Yeah, excellent investment.
Nothing bad to say. Much lighter than expected. So light that now I need to purchase a polymer upper and lower just to see how light I can go. Great fit and finish. Some reviews say that the barrel is not dimpled for a gas block but the one I purchased in October of 2019 was.

It's great!
Super lightweight, my AR came in at 4.85lbs with iron sights with this barrel. My goal was under $800 and under 5lbs, this barrel fit the bill for both. Accuracy is pretty good, but not the greatest with 55grain. Better with the 62grain non-steel core I tried. The muzzle brake version does create quite a bit a flash, but helps with lightweight ARs. I would probably get the flashhider version next time if it were legal to use flashhiders in my area. The only downside is that it took 2 months to get my barrel from date of order. Faxon is a small US business and their barrels are in high demand so it's to be expected. I would definitely buy again, overall very happy with it and it met my expectations.

Lighter than you think
This barrel is a must have for shooters looking to drop weight. It’s better to cough up a little more cash to get a faxon quality barrel that weighs half what a typical stoner barrel weighs after muzzle device installation. I’m serious, you’ll be impressed about how much more maneuverable your gun is. If you’re a soldier performing sustained gun fights then obvious pencil profile isn’t best. But for us average joes, it’s worth the weight drop

Good quality and price
This barrel is a good quality barrel at a good price. I Used it for a lightweight build for my wife and she loves it, and so do I! I definitely would recommend this barrel if you are working on a lightweight build.
