Couldn't ask for more! - Faxon Firearms 20in, Heavy Fluted, 6.5 Grendel, Rifle-Length

I've been wanting to build an AR in 6.5 grendel for a while now. So after much research I decided to go with Faxon. I'm extremely happy with my decision. Right out of the package you can immediately notice the attention to detail and supior craftsmanship. Starting at the muzzle, you have an excellently executed target crown. It's well finished, polished and even. The flutes are highly precise and they're zero machining marks. The gas port is deburred and clean. The shoulder for the gas block is well machined and perfect. The nitride finish over the 416R steel is exceptional and is as even as barrel makers of twice the cost. The barrel extention finish is very nice and helps a great deal when cleaning. The feed ramps are smooth, polished and well done. The chamber is perfect. Very clean, smooth and done right. The 1st time I took this rifle out I used 15 rounds of 100g wolf ammo to sight in my scope. Once I was where I wanted to be I loaded 5 rounds of 123g Hornady Black ELD-M. On a make shift rest and less than 20 rounds down the barrel on a new build I printed a 1.87" group at roughly 250 yards. I was ecstatic! I can't wait to fine tune the rifle, get a proper rest and see what it can really do. If you're on the fence with this round or company please don't hesitate.
