Not match barrel
Chamber is rough and scratched all brass bad. Communication could be better from Faxon. The replacement barrel had the same issue and fixed it myself because this issue is not just a 1 barrel problem. If you are looking for a match barrel look elsewhere until Faxon fixes this issue. Very well made
Excellent fluting and profile and finish. Faxon barrels have always proven accurate sometimes a bit expensive but catch it on a deal and it's well worth it.

Good Groups with Different Ammo
Previously I had an aero precision 18" grendel barrel that was very picky. It would only group well with 95 grain ammo that I could only find online. The heavy faxon barrel with two more inches has been giving me ≤1 moa groups with a bullets from 95 to 143 grain. It has made it a much more effective gun and one that I'm comfortable hunting with.

Great barrel exceeded expectations
Used this barrel on an Aero build and couldn’t be happier. Sub MOA groups and ringing a 6 inch gong at 300 yards with ease. I haven’t been able to shoot past 300 yet but I have no doubt that this barrel will perform at 500 as long as I do my part. I used a the Faxon bolt, Timney competition trigger, vortex viper glass, adjustable block and standard buffer. Runs and shoots very well.

Great barrel for the price
Having purchased and installed one of these barrels:
My rifle has lost 2 pounds of weight from the Heavy Contour barrel it was sporting
It now shoots like I've wanted it to shoot, better than I can.
I highly recommend a muzzle break of some kind.
Optics Planet had the barrel delivered before estimated delivery date, YMMV.

Faxon 6.5 Grendel
Great customer service and quick shipping. I only have 80 rounds down it so far. It’s going to take some load development to get accuracy for sure. It’s not inherently accurate so far, but the barrel is not even broken in, so I can’t be critical.
Pros:
- Light weight even though its 20 inc
Cons:
- Chamber is rough and marks the cases. Hopefully over time it smooths out.

best bang for your buck and more
My third Faxon barrel most accurate you can buy without breaking the bank, i had a couple of Bear Creek Arsonal barrels which were JUNK as i should have known for the cheap price! I'm shooting less than 3/4 moa with my 2 current barrels and I expect no less with the purchase of my new Grendal barrel. Very high quality.

faxon match series heavy fluted 6.5 grendel
Well. Shipping was good. Cost was good. Installed and start shooting. Nothing shot decent. Factory or reloads. Pulled it to clean. Inspecting crown and throat. The circumstance of the barrel about 2” in from the throat had tooling/chatter marks for about 1/2” long. Back and forth, made some emails from a friend in the business. Got a replacement barrel about a week later. Shoots well now. Bad day at the office but it was resolved. Happy now with the purchase

Quality control issues
Purchased this barrel about a month ago and got the rifle assembled. Immediately noticed the case necks were being scratched when ejected. Contacted Faxon and sent the barrel back. Now it's getting to 3 weeks later, I can't get any response to when I might get a replacement barrel or even something as basic as we are working on the return.
This is not limited to one or two barrels. I have come across 4 other recent Faxon barrel purchasers via gun forums that have had the exact same issue. Barrels not being checked before they leave the manufacturer, aka quality control.

Faxon barrel 20"
Absolutely incredible, highly recommend. Best quality for the money. I bought the faxon 20" 6.5 grendel and faxon upper along with faxon gas block and will be returning for more faxon parts in the future.
