Very nice barrel. Hight quality.
Installation was easy. Head spacing pass with gauge. Cleaned it before i first fired it. Machining was excellent. Insede the barrel as well. I like the way it groups really good accuracy. Cools down quickly because of the fluted.

The good, the bad, and the ugly.
The good: this barrel has a lot of the features I was looking for in a barrel that other brands simply don't have. It's black QPQ over stainless, fluted, 18", reasonably lightweight, was in stock, and as a (probably meaningless) bonus, had 5R rifling. Great. Less bullet distortion and all that jazz....

great barrel
Installed the 18in rifle length for my first AR build , laser bore sighted my iron sights in my house the went out to the range and was able to consistently hit man sized steel at 500yrds with consistency, with very negligible recoil . not sure if it was the barrel or maybe I’m just a natural lol jk jk could have also been my build but either way I’m a Faxon barrel Fan for life already put one in my Glock 17 and just purchased the pencil for my next lightweight AR build I’m currently working on

QC Lacking
Barrel came in today and it almost looks like it was used. Coating around the gas port is gone. Dings all over the barrel as well. Can do much better for cheaper.

Definitely a MATCH Barrel
Mine is shooting 75gr AAC ammo at 1 MOA out at 900yds. I am beyond satisfied with the performance of this barrel.

If you are looking for a sub moa barrel for a great price look no further and add to cart. This is my third build with this barrel and I can't complain about anything.

Great barrel
There are reviews that say it is not a “match” barrel. That would be correct. No where does it say that it is. It says, home defense, tactical situations and hunting. Barrel shoots and holds true to the specific uses to what the manufacturer stats. Admittedly, the packaging is minimal. So, I don’t doubt some may have been shipped chipped. My barrel came without blemish. In my opinion, I got exactly what I paid for.

Faxon barrel
Received this barrel within a week. Packaged nicely and looked beautiful. The weight was light and the fluting made it look great. Fitment was perfect and had no issues. Can’t wait to use it on the range. I would definitely recommend this product to others and I haven’t even shot it yet.

Nicked Barrel Update
So the markings on the barrel dont cause it to lose 2 stars. This thing shoots awesome. I ran handloads ranging from 40-77 grains and it has no problem with any of the particular weights I put through it. After sending some down range and bore scoping it - the finished machining down the tube looks like a mirror with very little tooling marks.
