Faxon 308 fluted barrel - Faxon Firearms .308 Winchester Heavy Fluted Rifle Barrel

This Faxon 308 barrel looks pretty good, a couple small issues with finish but they will be under handguard so I can ignore that. The weight for a 20 inch barrel is really great, makes it seem like a lightweight profile. Looks good in the bore and muzzle but can't speak to the rest without a boroscope. This hasn't been installed yet but did slide it in an Aero Precision M5 upper to test fit and it seems to be pretty good but will bed it when it is built to remove any slop. My only complaint of major significance is that Faxon ships out there barrels costing up over $400 in a simple plastic bag, not in a cardboard tube to protect it from damage. I had a previously ordered 6.5 Creed barrel arrive with major damage to parts of the fluting. That is just ridiculous for a barrel of this cost! Not Optics Planets fault, soley on Faxon :(.
