16" sub-moa with the right ammo
My goal was to build a sub 8 lb AR-10 in 308. I picked this barrel to get me there.
After putting a few hundred rounds through it, I've found that ammo choice makes a significant difference.
My copy of the 16" barrel does best with heavier ammo.
I am seeing 1.5 to 2 MOA @ 100 yards with anything ...

Nothing match grade about this barrel
As for function of the barrel, it feeds well and I have never had a single malfunction from either of these barrels I have had. I purchased my first barrel and tried a series of heavy match hand loads and match factory ammo through it. Bast groups out of this first barrel were in the 2.50” range wit...

So Far So Good
Had this barrel installed onto an Aero precision Enhanced M5 upper. First shot groups were great, good build quality, and looks great.

Quality Barrel as always
I have always had good luck out of their barrels this one is definitely right at one MOA a little under if you do your part and have good ammo the edges of the flute were a little Sharp but not enough to cut you and the Finish in the chamber and on the barrel are good quality just wish or the flutes are cut one of the original diameter lines were imperfect line with the gas block that would make it easier to line up the gas port but that's my only complaint and it took a lot of weight off my gun but it is a stainless Barrel so to all you people that think you should mag dump 25 mags or even two or three and then expect it to still shoot one Moa you cannot get a stainless Barrel hot like you can chromoly stainless is made for precision and low volume I wish all the reviews of people complaining would understand a stainless Barrel is not a go to war Barrel unless you're a sniper
Pros:
- Flat white accurate and quality made as always
Cons:
- Edges for a little short on the flutes
Best Used for:
- Hunting or Precision target shooting

picky about bullet weight
I get about 1.5MOA with 165gr bullets, but using 147gr bullets will open to 4MOA at best, and point of impact will shift 6" to the left at 100y. I get 1.5-2MOA on the same 147gr on my hunting rifle.

Great barrel
Good form, fit, and function. Better price than expected, too. My package showed up a little early as well. Loving it.

Great balance
The weight and length were just what I was looking for. Good balance just forward of the magwell. With aero M5 enhanced reciever, 15" handguard, muzzle device, B5 sopmod on SR25 extension, iron sights and red dot comes in at just about 9Lbs. Not range report yet, but Faxon is a reputable company

Good shooting barrel
I've been happy with Faxon barrels and have purchased 4 barrels from them.
This was my first Faxon barrel and I have gotten .6 moa on my best day with hand loads.
The quality is great, I only wish they shipped in a cardboard mailer tube with some padding as there was a cosmetic ding on the barrel extension.

Not Impressed With Quality
Faxon has been a name that is well known to me as far as AR barrels. I was always under the impression that they were a quality barrel until I bought one. Before purchasing, I read mixed reviews and watched several youtube videos. Due to lack of supply, I purchased this barrel and was not impressed with the quality. There are far higher quality barrels out there for about the same price range. I'm sure it would work fine if you're just looking to send rounds down range, but for me, I decided on a better built barrel.
