Nothing match grade about this barrel - Faxon Firearms .308 Winchester Heavy Fluted Rifle Barrel

As for function of the barrel, it feeds well and I have never had a single malfunction from either of these barrels I have had. I purchased my first barrel and tried a series of heavy match hand loads and match factory ammo through it. Bast groups out of this first barrel were in the 2.50” range with my hand loads and over 3.00” with factory federal GMM. Faxon warranty replaced this barrel and with the new barrel my best group shot today was 1.85” with Hornady 150gr SST’s handloaded with Varget. No bullet I have tried over 165 grains factory or that I have put together for my combo has printed less than 2.5”. Highly under impressed with this 20” “heavy match” barrel.
