Most Helpful Positive Review One of the most basic thing anyone could come up with and for some reason no one did until now
This is the only gas block you would need. Everything else is inferior. Believe me. Haven't shot enough yet to really test and see it's shortcomings but it's super promising.
Most Helpful Negative Review gas block bent and warped
This gas lock gave me issue from the beginning. It would move position to become more and more under gassed. Eventually after this last range day it warped completely and broke. I do NOT recommend

Works perfect

by Bill, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on June 17, 2026
Great quality gas block. Worked perfect gassing down my .223 Wylde after adding a suppressor- no more face full of smoke after each shot. Just used a long thin screw driver to adjust the gas down till the bolt wouldn't stay open, then moved it back one click.
Pros:
  • Multi click adjustment
Cons:
  • a little pricey , but WELL worth the money
  • A little pricey but worth the money
Best Used for:
  • With a suppressor

Faxon Gas Block

by Hopper, Verified Owner from SD, United States Written on February 21, 2026
First off, let me say that I've not put this to use yet. Big change of plans so to speak! Almost two weeks in the hospital really slowed down my new build! I do have it secured to the barrel though. I was quite skeptical at first about the three screws to hold the gas block to the barrel without dimpling the barrel to hold it securely in place! But it really seems to be quite secure! Red Loctite so the screws won't back out. I waited a day for the Loctite to be set up and tried to twist it out of place with my hands, but I couldn't budge it! The system to set the gas anyway you need to set it is remarkably easy! That's what sold me on this adjustable gas block in the first place! And it doesn't add much weight with the way Faxon has removed a lot of the metal with the large holes in the sides! I think you'll like it!
Pros:
  • Very light weight
  • EASIER TO INSTALL
  • easier to adjust
Cons:
  • none yet
Best Used for:
  • an AR-15 build

best design i have found

by Travis Griffin, from TX, United States Written on February 17, 2026
I have 5 of these on different uppers. One on .458 about 600 rounds. One on .556 proof carbon barrel with around 6000 rounds. Best advice is buy this and put neverseize on the threads. Hold the denting back and run the screw all the way out, grease, put it back in. Setting 18 plus is in the mode that puts the excess gas outside of the carrier. It will last forever like this. All the other brands seize around 5000 give or take and are not as serviceable.

Faxon adjustable gas block

by Babayaga, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on December 1, 2025
I have two, one on a DD UPPER and one on an aero upper, both of which I run suppressed. Over 2000 rounds through both gas blocks and no issues. Adjustment screw never moves due to recoil but never locks up due to carbon. I can’t recommend this enough, just make sure you install it correctly and red loctite the screws. You can’t blame the product for bad installation. Mine has never come loose.

Fits great on AR10

by Neil C, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on October 29, 2025
Haven’t tested yet but so far fits and looks great. Gas tube can be a little difficult to install since the adjustable part of the gas block can slip off but it’s not to bad with the right tools.
