Really Good Barrels
I have 4 Faxon barrels in my M&P collection. A couple of those are threaded. I have experienced no problems, these fit good in the M&P slides. I keep reading reviews in which people complain about needing fitting instead of being drop in. From my experience, this is probably due to Smith and Wesson variances in their manufacturing. I know that there are mayor differences when I started to swap barrel between different slides. I was working with 15 slides at one time, both 9mm and 40. Randomly, some barrels do not fit some slides, etc. So I am convinced this is a Smith and Wesson manufacture variance or they have changed their internal specs from time to time. Very weird, but it is what it is.

faxon full size 9mm barrel
Not drop in. Barrel was not even close to fitting right in the slide. Ive seen alot of similar reviews on the compact version and took the chance and shouldn't have. No gunsmith will touch trying to fit it due to the fact Faxon claims them to be full drop in. Don't waste your money there are too many of these barrels that are not machined properly and are out of spec. From what I have seen the number that are bad far exceed the number that are right. And from just trying to install it in my slide twice with no force the titanium coating has been removed from the barrel in spots. They should have just spray painted it on. Rubbing my finger over the barrel using medium force was removing the finish. After this i will not purchase ANYTHING with the Faxon name on it. I wasted almost $200 by not listening to others with the same problem.

Faxon 9mm flame fluted barrel
In stock/Fast shipping, tight fit, better than the 40 cal barrel that it replaced . S&W MP 2.0. Second purchase to convert ex duty weapon to 9mm. If you want a replacement barrel you can’t go wrong with any Faxon product outstanding fit and finish. If I had any negative comment it would be, I wish the feed ramp was polished but that being said, after 200 rounds... NO feed issues.
