I've handloaded for over 30 years and when the Barnes Solid Copper came out I gave them a try in 130 gr for my Browning A-Bolt. Since copper doesn't weight the same as lead the Barnes copper bullet is usually longer than a typical lead bullet in order to achieve the same weight and most times this requires a faster rate of twist to stabilize the longer bullet. I came across this when I started shooting service class with my AR and we were using the Sierra 69gr Match Kings, we had to switch barrels from a 1 in 11 to a 1 in 7 to get 1/4 MOA groups at 100 yards, the 1 in 11 would throw them all over the place and I spent too much money and time trying to develop a load that worked.....the 1 in 7 corrected the problem immediately. Just a word of caution when selecting an all copper bullet.......Happy Shooting and Hunting !
