Gold medal Target was okay. Premium Gold medal HV match was pretty good stuff it did keep one inch groups and was a pleasure to shoot.

Good quality practice ammo at a great price

I tested the current Gold Medal Target .22lr ammo in two vintage Winchester 52s, a H&R M12, and a CZ 452Training Rifle. I am getting 1/2 to 5/8 inch 10 round groups at 50 yards with all 4 rifles. Generally the groups are circular. It is not nearly as good as Eley Match, but the price is less than half of what the Eley costs. Good practice ammo for sure.
Pros:
  • Consistent and cost effective.
Cons:
  • It could be a bit more accurate.
Best Used for:
  • Target shooting, training.
