All Around Great Product!
I like to use these bullets at the shooting range. They're a great price for the 50 round box. I buy this ammo on a regular basis! These bullets are always in stock during this timecof the pandemic. Also, they're at my house in less than acweek with coupons in the box.
Great defensive round
The Federal 9mm 147 grain HST is the best ammo made for self defense in my opinion. I run this ammo exclusively in my full size pistol and my AR pistol. It runs flawlessly in both weapons, is very accurate and can be used in a suppressed weapon. There is a huge amount of data on the internet showing head to head comparisons with other self defense ammo, and the HST comes out on top no matter the caliber. I have never had to use this ammo in a self defense scenario, but I feel supremely confident I am carrying the best ammo, and will work as intended. Buy with confidence.

Best defense ammo
The Federal HST ammo is the best defensive ammo around. There are many online reviews that demonstrate this, with data(FBI ammo test protocol) to back it up. Luckily, I have never had to use the ammo in a defensive situation, but the ammo runs flawlessly in my guns. I use this ammo in all my 9mm, 45 acp pistols and suppressed 9mm AR pistol. You can’t go wrong with this ammo.

Federal 147gr HST
I haven't shot very many but from the research that I've done this is some of the most reliable ammunition there is. Good penetration from bare gel to heavy clothing with excellent weight retention.

Federal HST
From every test that I've watched the Federal HST excells as defensive rounds. From bare gel to heavy clothing to denim it has very reliable expansion and nearly 100% weight retention. Without having to actual have used any i believe them to be one of the best choices on the market. Also, way better priced, at Optics Planet, than some of the other rounds of equal reliablity, expansion, and optimal penetration.

147 HSTs are the Go-To
The ballistics gel tests on YouTube speak for themselves - the expansion on these is best in class and they are very reliable for daily carry and long term storage (sealant is included on the neck and primer). I landed on the 147 grain because I love the recoil impulse but they are also less likely to over penetrate across all the tests and documentation I’ve seen. Only self defense rounds I’ve ever used and I would trust my life to these without a doubt.
