The Federal Premium series of hunting ammo is one of only two ammo suppliers I have tried that deliver true premium performance. I am an international big game hunter and have been to Africa multiple times as well as traveled across North America on big game hunts. Many of the so-called premium brands of ammo is either inconsistent in its velocity which leads to poor accuracy or it is downloaded so far below optimum levels that it can be 200 fps slower than expected. Others overstate the muzzle velocity on the box but when shot in your rifle over the chrono, it under delivers. This can lead to shots going low out at longer distances. I do not take maximum long range shots on live game but that is not because I cannot make the shots. It is only because, I am a better hunter than that. Still, I appreciate a product that delivers consistent performance and premium results.

I have used the Federal Trophy Bonded Tip ammo in multiple calibers in recent years and it is one of those that delivers high velocity, very small std deviation and consistent killing performance on game. I would not hesitate to use it on Elk, Deer, Moose or any of the African Plains Game species. I recently bought the 160g version in 7mm Rem Mag to take with me on a Canadian Moose hunt this fall with some close friends. It is the real deal. A few weeks ago while on a Texas Nilgai hunt with my son, I smoked a coyote using my 338 Win Mag and the 200g version of the Trophy Bonded ammo at 157y. Overk...
