Fritz's Review of Fiocchi 3 Gun Match Dummy Shotshells
The quantity was good, with 10 shells per box. The shells were entirely plastic, no brass or aluminum construction. The shell was advertised as 2 3/4 inch, when the actual length is 2 1/4 inch. The front of the shell was filled with pellets, and it had a good weighty feel about it. The base of the shell was obviously not filled with gunpowder, but some kind of plastic filling. The base itself was some kind of soft plastic, which felt cheap and low effort.
The shells loaded into the magazine and chamber without any problem. However, cycling the shells a few times betrayed its cheap construction. The plastic base took most of the damage, with several nicks and cuts on the edges. The center of the base developed a deep and permanent pit where the firing pin had struck. The damage seemed to level off after a few cycles, so I've yet to see them actually fall apart.
Still, the dummy rounds served its purpose. The quantity of shells for the low price gives you the ability to practice reloading and dry firing with side saddle shell holders. As a brand new gun owner, safely practicing how to handle my first shotgun is invaluable. Will recommend.
